 Did you know that our Mayoress is hostessing the bash of the season?  That's right- Our very own Diva is hostessing the Queen of Hearts Ball on Valentine's Day?  The excitement in Blogville is rising on an hourly basis and we are here to spread the word and to ask some lovely residents of Blogville to be our dates!

First up is J. Snoopington Puppy, aka SNOOPY!!!!  Snoopy is our resident piebald and the St Louis boytoy of Muffin!  As a member of the Blogville Police Department he is smart and will be a great protector of Muffin, so her Dad will not have to worry about her at all!

Next up is our J. Chippington Puppy, aka Chip- he like Snoopy is a member of BPD and takes his duties seriously.  He is enamored of Mon'as sister Miss Prissy, that devastatingly beautiful red long furred dachshund living in Texas!

Third, is Tasha, Queen of the Urban Jungle.  She is the beloved of Shiloh of Team Beaglebratz and this Valentine's Day is their second anniversary!  however, she is still waiting for her beau to ask her to the ball!

 

Now, as Blogville knows, the DWM pack has two new members- Anna, the snausagesque black and tan beauty who rules her Daddy with her short fur covered paw, and Hope, our double dapple foster who works at BPD as the office manager. (Anna is on rodent patrol for BPD, in charge of squirrel and bunny patrol) .  We don't want these two beauties to sit home on Valentine's Day, now do we?  All applicants will have to undergo the rigorous BPD screening process, followed by the even more excruciating Daddy process, first instituted in Blogville by Taffy's Dad!  Who's up for the challenge? Both these girls can dance!  Both have healthy appetites and appreciate a great treat!  Neither have pawticipated in adult beverages, so be careful!  

 

 

 

NEXT UP- we have taken the liberty of cutting and pasting the deadlions for the ball so we all know when to have our photos in and to whom!  Hurry!  These deadlions are non negotiable and we don't want anyone to miss out on the fun!!!

ONLY SEND PHOTOS to Mollie and Ranger if you want to be formally dressed and are not able to use Photo Shop.  Once PS is completed Mollie/Ranger will send the photo SargE. Sarge will send completed photo to Madi which is the final point.  Madi will send a copy of the picture to its owner and Madi and Mad Snapper will be posting all the photos on 2/14. Half on Madi's blog 1/2 on Mad Snappers blog

Sarge will host "Ladies In Bloom" for the dance.  Sarge's choice as to what kind:   Bouquet, Wrist Corsage, Pin-on Corsage, Long Stems, Hair Pieces, roses, daisies, any color, anything goes.   Each one will be tailored specifically to that *lady based on the ready-to-post pix (if you plan to wear anything other than your furs you must have that on) that I receive and whatever pops into Sarge's head. *Note: Sarge is only doing flowers.  Send your ready to post picture to Sarge by January 27, 2014:

Then Sarge will send the completed photos to Madi.  Madi will send the owner of the photo a copy for their post.  On 2/14 Madi and Mad Snapper will have all of the pictures on their blogs throughout the day.

 Madame Samm and Jane from Jane's Fabrics and Quilts have done it again!  Today is the penultimate day of the Hugs and Kisses Blog Hop celebrating Valentine's Day!  The only requirement was that the pawticipants used red and pink fabrics in their creations, and this is what we had WHN make!  First up is the table mat/runner using strips leftover from a prayer shawl WHN made last year for a Blogville resident who is no longer with us- we found the remaining strips tucked away in her UFO / scrap bin and put her to work!  She backed it with a nice mauvish pink leftover from a quilt made over twenty years ago!  (WHN saves everything it seems!)  

Next up are the Snoopy inspired placemats and cocktail napkins that we forced her to make for our girlfriends and boyfriends in BLogville!  Snoopy is gifting Miss Muffin a red dog bone placemat and her sister Lily Belle a pink dogbone placemat, while Tasha is gifting her Beagle beau Shiloh with a red placemat and his sister, Miss Shasta a pink one! (we hope they don't mind the photos being posted early- their packages are due to arrive in the mail sometime today!).  The cocktail napkins were made at Jackmans' during the free monthly Serger sewing class- this is only the second serger class WHN has attended and she is slowly getting over her fear of sergers!  Maybe one is in her future?

  Tasha and Shiloh are also celebrating their furst anniversary as a couple!  Just last year, Shiloh had the courage to take both Tasha and her sister, Angel Ginger to last year's BLogville extravaganza! 

 The bone shaped placemats are inspired by the Christmas gift that Jazzi and Addy  gave the DWM in the 2012 Blogville gift exchange- WHN loves them and has yet to post the photos of these gifts but promises to do so tomorrow! 

As you can see, WHN loves dachshunds and was able to score a dachshund candy dish from us at Target and Dad got the coffee mug from us-

MIA- reported stolen!

The culprits

Well, we just about danced our paws off at the Valentine's Day Dance.  Ginger and Tasha were well looked after by their beau, Shiloh, who everbuddy knows was the Beagle who won Best of Show at Westminster several years ago.  (He has been living incognito since then).  Anna Rose and her luv, Max, cuddled the night away under the disco ball, and later in the Weinermobile.  Amber and her beaus, Chip and Thai, led the way with the conga line and then hit the bars for Cheetohs and beers, plus lots of hot dogs to keep up their strength! AFterwards, the weinermobiles were full of partiers getting ready to go home- Sagira and Bokeh joined us, Puddles made a quick stop with her beau to stock up on Cheetohs for the drive home  (PUDDLES, we did not know that Cheetohs were a controlled substance or that SARGE would give you a ticket- our bad!) The Furst Family of Blogville stopped by for hot dogs and ERnie had his furst beer, but DON'tT TELL FRANKIE!!!!  We had to make a pit stop along the way and when we all returned from visitng our favorite trees- a Weinermobile had been stolen!  Shiloh, GInger, and Tasha had to squeexe in with Amber, Chip and Thai, and we were off in pursuit.  (Anna Rose and Max decided to stay at the rest stop and wait for the police- )

We could see a red long haired head hanging out of the window, waving a suspiciously large disco ball and screaming her head off-  Then we could see the driver's head- black and tan long fur, covered with flowers-  FRANCINE AND ERNESTINE had struck- Last sighting of the Weinermobile and the disco ball was near No More Leans.  WE hope that they enjoy their ill gotten gains!  That was the WEinermobile that still had beer, hot dogs and Cheetohs stocked!  

Well, at least Amber Da Weenie got to drive her Weinermobile home.  Now Chip has to finish cleaning thee two remaining ones out and explain to Oscar Mayer what happened to the third- maybe Sarge and Zona can go on a road trip to No More Leans to recover the stolen property?  At least PUDDLES has not been implicated in this horrendous crime!

 Amber, are you ready yet?  The Limos are here!  You get to choose ours, then Anna will pick hers and then Ginger, Tasha and Shiloh will ride off into the sunset in the third!

First, we had Max Da Odder Brother, ask his love Anna Rose to the social event of the year!  (And yes, DAD is going along as a chaperone!)  NOW we have Chip and Thai asking Amber Da Weenie and she said yes!

Now, we just have to find dates for Ginger and Tasha!

It's Here- Valentine's Day

Today started off with a bang- Dad loved his signals for the layout and we gave Mom  a brand new Spot Bot for pets- the one with the long furred doxie on the box.  We received LOTS of new treats!!!!  (we can't eat them all at once, but we get to try a new type every day)  Then for some reason, Chip had an upset tummy and made a huge mess in the computer chair and on the floor- Mom and Dad cleaned up after him, but no one knows why it happened.  maybe he caught Mom's bronchitis.

Valentines Day, Part 3

Ginger, Chip and Thai have decided to be fair- they are askeing EVERYONE who reads this blog and write the blogs they follow to be their Valentine's this year!!!!  SO much love in the air- What do you say everybody?

Now that Frankie Furter is off the market, what is Ginger supposed to do?  What about Thai and Chip?  Are there any lonely dachshunds or other canines who really want to be Valentine's with us?  Mom says that we can't just pine away from lack of canine love.  Anyone?  I know that Ginger loves Baxter and that Chip loves Twix, but Thai is playing the field.  (Twix and Baxter don't know these secrets yet, so shhhhhhhh!!!!) Thai and Chip are even willing to let Mom and Dad give them baths, and Ginger will have hers solo, just the girls, for their spa time, complete with lavender shampoo.

And since our Mom is Irish and Dad Irish by marriage, what about St. Patrick's Day?
