August is sure busy!  Today is the barkday of PUDDLES' Mom!  Please click on the link and leave her your best wishes (maybe Puddles will come visit BLogville again soon!)

Meet Me in St Louis!

Yes, they are coming- hide the children, cover your eyes, alert the police!  PUDDLES and PIP are coming to St Louis for a one day, sure to be sold out show on February 6th. Get your tickets early- and we are NOT responsible if anyone in the audience experiences a sudden urge to swing from the Gateway Arch!  Anheuser Busch has been put on full alert- ALL of their breweries will be working 24/7 in hopes that they can keep up with the demand.  The Clydesdales are being put through their paces and the brass bands are getting ready for their tryouts.  The St Louis Rams and the Cardinals will be providing extra security for these two world famous jet setters.  BURGER KING is donating truckloads of cheeseburgers, just the way Pip likes them!  There will be barges of Cheetohs coming in on both the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers- the river traffic will be humungous- we hope that it will be enough.  Hotel rooms are being reserved quickly so hurry and get yours now!  All of the vets in the area are on stand by in case somebuddy gets a tummy ache!  We even heard that Mayoress Madi will be in town for the festivities- will our own Molly the Wally cover the red carpet event at Busch Stadium?  Will that stadium be big enough for the overflow crowds expected?  THIS IS GOING TO BE BIGGER THAN THE DIAMOND JUBILEE AND THE OLYMPICS _ ALL IN ONE DAY!!!!

Look who is 4 today!

 While Blogville's world class athletes are competing today- (Swimming and nose art), the Governor of Blogville is celebrating her 4th birthday!  Happy Birthday Puddles! 

Dad

Dad is settling in very nicely in St Louis- he has been using the pool at night and his first day at work went great!  (We think that he is so happy because PUDDLES is there to help "inventory" the breweries with him!)  St Louis was very hot and muggy yesterday and he expects it to be so today!  He received a company car and says the traffic reminds him of New Jersey!  He loves the St Louis style pizza but misses us even more.  Anna Rose is lost without her Daddy and spends the day next to the front door, waiting for him to come home.  WHN went swimming yesterday and then finished painting the porch- today she has to contend with the third moving company, to get an estimate for Dad,  and mail Dad the GPS for his new car.  Then she is going to pack up the linen closet and the bathroom, before giving it a good scrub down!  WHN and Dad are probably going to rent a townhouse so our stuff can go straight there instead of going into storage while the house in Ohio sells.  Pray that it sells quickly!

The first donations for La Catorce (the 14- taken from the film For Greater Glory) have arrived- First up is Oskar from Pet Blogs United- his peep sent a huge box of red, white and blue fabrics.  Then Frankie and Ernie sent some green papers for the quilts and then Sarge sent a great red and white bandana as his donation!  Will post photos later today!

Your favorite drinking buddy, Mr. Geoff, wishes to congratulate you on the fabulous news concerning the evil next door neighbors.  As such, he proffers the new beer, Bud Light Platinum, as an appropriate adult beverage for the discriminating dachshund/greyhound to imbibe. (Yes, he now drinks Bud Light Platinum in your honor!)

Puddles sighting in Northeast Ohio!

 Next door, our neighbors are having some major renovations- their basement kept flooding and started to collapse!  For the last two weeks, lots of digging and brick laying have been ongoing, and today we found out why_  LOOK at what was found in the basement, where the damage was the worst!  First Puddles was off the blogosphere for "computer problems"  Now, Bud Light containers are discovered buried in our neighbors basement?  Obviously Puddles has a secret hideout right next door!  Why didn't she just come o ver to see us?  We would never have given her away!  (And she could have had Dad's beer all to herself!)

Wednesday - the horror of it all

Today, we were cruelly abandoned by our servants for the WHOLE DAY!!!!!  Dad took the day off from work to take what's her name to Cleveland, for THREE medical related visits, and THEY LEFT US HOME ALONE!!!!!!!  It was horrible- we were fed breakfast, bread and water, and then they LEFT US!!!!

But, we got back at them-  there were tons of puddles and presents from us when they came home aroun 7 PM.  It took what's her name over half an hour to clean it all up, and she never said a word.  Serves her right!!!

Seems that what's her name is going to have bariatric surgery in January, and had to see a head doctor, the surgeon, and a dietician.  Mom has tried for years to lose weight that she put on since her late 20s, but it only makes it worse.  Even her swimming isn't enough, so her primary care doctor told her to look into it.  (Now we know why there are so few pictures of her!)  She starts a new diet tomorrow, and goes back next week and again in December to see the dietician.  She has to keep up and even increase her swimming and we now know that we will be doing walkies more often every day- at least twcie with Mom and then a third time with Mom and Dad.  Mom and Dad see the surgeon again on January 5th and then the surgery will be the last week of January or the first week of February.  Now we know why she has been so nervous and depressed this summer!!


In really good news, His Majesty, Frankie Furter Price, was the Daily Doxie today!!!!  We at the DWM have already held this prestigious honor, as has Her Majesty, Twix the Twixerific.  Now, the Royal Greatness of the Blogosphere holds the title, one which he truly deserves.  Now, his wives will be Queens of the Blogosphere, instead of the wives aof a mere mayor.

In Puddles news (aka She Who Must Be Obeyed), Her Imperial Greatness will someday be honored with the Daily Doxie award, but we think she has to join the site first!!!

WWPD, part 2

Mom wants to apologize to the blogosphere.  SHe did NOT realize that what she wrote about Her Majesty, She Who Must Be Obeyed, Puddles, would be misconstrued in any way.  Some readers have mistakenly interpreted what Mom wrote as CRITICISM of Her Majesty.

Let us assure you, Mom adores Puddles and has fallen under her spell.  We have to live with the Puddles phenomenon.  Mom would not even think a bad thought of Puddles, or any dachshund, for that matter. 

WWPD (aka What Would PUDDLES Do) ?????

Mom has been fussing too much lately, worrying herself sick over WWPD!!!!  Mom is well cared for by the three of us, but she is apparently obsessed with Her Majesty>  Really!  One would think the Dachsies With Moxie were enough, but NOOOOOO!!! 

Obviously, there has to be a fan club for Puddles.  Mom can't photoshop, and so we are stuck.  What should the rules be, what should we call ourselves.  Do we let She Who Must Be Obeyed know of this (SWMBO)?  Inquiring minds want to know.

First, it was the Dachshund Wedding, which really was the wedding of the Millenium.  Instead of the groom and his lovely brides taking center stage, it was SWMBO!!!  Daily we hear of her binge drinking, and other antics, and we cannot get enough.  Maybe, instead of a fan club, it should be a support group?  Should there be a blog hop dedicated to SWMBO? 

Any idea out there in the blogosphere?

PUDDLES DUDDLES IS FOLLOWING US!!!!

WOW!!!!  Her Majesty, Queen of the Doxiesphere, Queen of the Canine Blogosphere, Puddles Duddles Rainwater herself, is now following us!!!!!!  The honor of this has overwhelmed our Mom, who is trying to wipe the tears of joy off of the keyboard as she tries to type.

Now, we do not want anyone else who follows us to be insulted by the above paragraph, but the canine blogosphere is ruled by Her Majesty and she has a very long reach- if she does not follow you, the torments of the damned are your fate!  No pressies in the snail mail, no private emails, nothing- you are shunned by the blogosphere furrrever!  (NOW you understand why she was the preacher at the wedding of the century last month!)  Puddles is simply "She Who Must Be Worshipped"!!!!

Now that Her Majesty is following us, we have reached 53 followers!  The blessings from Puddles are unimaginable, especially for a Dachshund.  All other canines bow low in her presence, out of respect.  Dachshunds submit to her rule of the blogosphere and become her most ardent supporters.  Our humans become her slaves.  No one can resist Her Majesty- no one!

July is the Month of Puddles, so what does that make August?

Now everybody knows that July is the Month of Puddles, as she told us this herself on her blog!!!  Puddles Duddles brings love and laughter, especially the latter to all of our lives.  BUT.......

Her Mom's birthday is in August, Lucy's Mom's birthday is in August, our Mom's birthday is in August (and all in the same week!).  AND THAI's birthday is in August.

Wouldn't you expect Puddles of Duddles to have created August as the Month of Dog Mommas, especially to honor her Mom?  Or has her ordination gone to her head?
