Something just occurred to our Mom- how come Frankie Furter wasn't the finalist for the long haired dachshunds at Westminster? Ruby and Penny, we have no doubt, would vouch for this most handsome of long furrrs. Just Saying!!!!!
AWWWW how nice of you to think of me. ACTUALLY... my Birth mom and dad are both show dawgs. They have lots and lots of trophies and stuff. BUTT, I didn't grow up enough to meet breed standards for dachshunds. I am pretty glad about it though. This way I can be in Mango Minster... and I think it is MUCH BETTER than that Westminster thingy, don't you??? Show dawgs don't have nearly as much fun as WE all do. Plus... just between you and me... I think they are a bit... shiver... SQUIRRELY!! I'm just sayin'.
Xena is a former show contender, before her breeder retired her at age 5 & sold her. She then returned to her breeder when she was 7 1/2 - who placed her & her mother into rescue! And lucky us -Xena came to live with us when Momma could bear to give her up - so we adopted her!
