Today, Mom and Dad have to go to church to get ashes on their foreheads, AND have to give something up until Easter!!!! McDonald's was the decision reached last night. Are they supposed to make US give up something too? Is that fair?
I think giving up McDonald's would be tooo much to ask of you. How about this one... Thai can give up those "tootsie rolls". You two could give up... squirrel chasing.
My mom works in a dr. office and today she was talking to one of the docs and noticed some "dirt" on his forehead. She was about to reach up, wipe it off and tell him he had "dirt" on his head. Then the light came on and she realized it was Ash Wednesday. Duh Mom! She woulda felt pretty silly if she had wiped that off his forehead. I guess that tells you we are not Catholic, huh? I hope you don't have to give up anything ;o) Snuggles, Twix
Our Moms and Dad came back with black marks on their forheads too!! They are giving up coffee! They are already VERY grumpy! We'll be glad, when Lent is over!!

fish fridays! my hubbie is catholic and forgot to remind me until today. for him, tuna salad friday since i will be out of town!
We had a veggie pizza for dinner tonight for Lent... we got it at the take and bake place. It was good.
Still figuring out what to give up.....
