 THIS gorgeous dachshund statue arrived in the mail yesterday, a gift from What's Her Name's cousin's wife!  (They found each other courtesy of the Internet, via Ancestry.com and Facebook)  Have your Moms get to KOHL's right away- this beautiful dachshund won't last long, and is priced at 21.99!

Tasha and HER Daddy!

Last night, Tasha again demonstrated what it is that caused her Daddy to cave in to her demands so quickly!

She HAD to do it!

Well, that was quick!  Less than 24 hours after Dad picked her up at the Bark and Wine fundraiser, Tasha became an official Dachsie With Moxie.  Dad could not resist those beautiful brown eyes or the way Tasha curled up next to him, or the manner in which she shadowed his every move.  At 2 PM EST, What's Her Name made the dreaded call- she called MIss Dona at DRNA and admitted that there was a problem!  WHN admitted that, for the second time as a foster mom, she failed!  First with Thai and now with Tasha!

 What a weekend!  Dad has to work AGAIn, all day and night Saturday due to te thunder and lightning out at the hump yard in Willard.  SUNDAY- after almost FIVE hours in the car, we finally arrived at the DRNA fundraiser, the Bark and Wine at the Christian Klay winery in Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania.  Thai had a ball- his girlfrined Miss Pat was there and his buddies Chance and Butchie.  Thai found himself to be the center of attention and loved every minute of it.  Blue Dawn was present- gorgeous little girl, but when we were leaving, she had been adopted!  Miss Dona asked if What's her Name would foster Tasha, a 7 year old mini who had just been surrendered on Wednesday.  Before WHN could think or say anything, DAD already hd her leashed and was holding her in his arms.  LOVE at first sight!  Chip, Ginger and Thai all get along with Tasha and vice versa-  WHN's lap is too small for all three to hold!  (Thai was ensconced in his travelling basket and slept most of the way home)  Tasha spread out on the lap pillow, Ginger had to be cradled like a baby and Chip was vigilantly watching out for his wimmen!  He even got a new Hug a Dog harness to wear while on duty.  WHN is promising us all new harnesses in October when we go to the Wine and Halloweiners Fest!

We stopped for foodables on the way home- McDonald's!  Dad bought us chicken nuggets and Tasha loves them.  Like Ginger, hers must be ripped into pieces, and like Ginger she eats them gently out of your hand!  She is also a Nugget Thief- she stole TWO of WHN's nuggets right out of her hand!  She has made herself at home- claiming Dad's couch blacnkie for her own and sleeping curled up next to him on the couch.  In the bed- she slept soundly - first under the covers and then curled up on her back, between WHn's and Dad's pillows!  More adventures await!

Wow- LOTS of news (our lives have been boring lately due to What's Her Name, but what else is new!)


Furst- we are getting a new foster dachsie!  a female wire fur from Kentucky, named Torie!  We don't know anything else right now, but it looks like a six hour car ride to pick her up if a transport cannot be arranged through DRNA.  Her information and picture are below:

Second-  Medina is having a pool pawty to celebrate the Furters furst anniversary!  You read that right- our city pool is having a pawty for canines on 21 August starting at noon, and the Mayor of BLogville will be there in the furs!  We are working on getting his wives to come,- do you think Puddles can make a quick trip to Canada once her Mom feels better?  (Her Mom had surgery Friday and she has been in our prayers).  We will have lots of cheetohs and beers for Puddles and What's Her Name is so excited that she is making Dad take down the wallpaper in the upstairs bathroom and paint it a nice light blue.  (She has waited almost two years for this to happen, and is using the visit of the Mayor as the impetus to get it done!)

Chips turns 10 today!

 Today my baby, my Chip a Dee Do Da, turns ten years old!  He came to live with us the week after my Dad died, which will be two years this coming September.  Chip is my shadow and protects me from all enemies foreign and domestic.  He bonded with me immediately, and never lets anyone forget it either!~   He is a Momma's boy, but loves his Dad also. he also looks out for Thai and Ginger.
