Mom saw these duk duks in our neighbors backyard this week. Two male and a female Mallard. Lots more live in the nearby lake. Today, we snuck up real close before Mom caught us. We think that at least tow of these are related to Baxter's duk duk, and that at least one of the males is the REAL DUK DUK. Then, in the backyard next to this one (our backyard opens up to three other backyards!!!), we found an egg- a new duk duk is on the way!!!

hee!!! duk duk wants to take a road trip now cuz he thinks that pair might be his aunt bessie and uncle earl, and he's totally mad at them for not tellin them he's got a cousin on the way. too bad i ate off duk duk's wing else he would fly there himself. now i gotta convince mom to let us borrow the car or at least let us use her bicycle. wish me luck!
