The Lovely Madame Samm strikes again!  She has lured What's Her Name out of her lair and out into the bright sunshine with yet another quilting Blog Hop!  We, the Dachsies With Moxie agree that these blog hops have helped us and WHN by keeping her busy and out of our furs! (At least until life catches up with her, causing us to earn combat pay!)  And this month we have the Lovely Linda as head cheerleader and you should see what she made- WHN is definitely going to purchase the pattern once it hits Linda's Craftsy shop!)

Today is the last day of this blog hop, and it involves words - we were to use words that described us or appealed to us or were just plain fun.  Any technique was to be used- the sky is the limit!

So of course, WHN overthought everything and fell behind when she was laid up with panic attacks that kept her on the couch for a couple of weeks- THANKFULLY she had lots of great fabric in her stash and when she crawled out of the panic attack cave, we made her get cracking! (You try sewing with an 18 lb dachshund in a sling around your neck- we made sure she was safe and insisted that Snoopy, our resident "King of Sling", and Tasha, the "Queen of SLing", took turns with this onerous duty.)

WHN has been drawn to the "Keep Calm and Carry On" WWII poster from Great Britain- she loves all things related to that era.  For Christmas, we had Dad get her a teapot, tray, spoon rest, mug and salt and pepper shakers.  While she was browsing the remnants at Jackman's (her home away from home) she found a quarter yard of a British themed fabric and brought it home.  IN keeping with her WWII  obsession- she made a tray runner for her "KCACO" set.  It is very simple and she machine quilted around the individual logos on the panel.   Then, also from Jackman's, she discovered a pink quilt themed Rosie the Riveter and made two hot pads for her sewing room! (You may remember the fabric from the UR Priceless purse blog hop back in November!) Third, and final, she used leftovers from a Maxine panel and made a placemat for her sewing machine- she loves Maxine and we think she channels her on a regular basis! We hope that you enjoy her simple entries- She is proud of them and has found that slowing down and stating from scratch, she is enjoying her quilting even more!!!  Maybe Madame Samm will visit for a cuppa and some chocolates- would Godiva be good enough though?
